Big Five Marathon
South African running marathon held on on the private Entabeni Game Reserve, located between Johannesburg and Kruger National Park. Includes full marathon, half marathon, and 10 kilometer distances.

Comrades Ultra-Marathon
Running Ultra-marathon approximately 56 miles long held in the Kwazulu-Natal Province of South Africa between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Nearly 24,000 runners participated in the 75th anniversary comrades Marathon in 2000.
