Bagamoyo Art and Culture Festival
Annual festival that takes place on the grounds and
in the theater of the TaSUBa Arts and Culture Institute
in Bgamoyo. The event features outdoor festival activities,
music and dramatic performances live on stage, and
arts, crafts, and cultural exhibits.

Zanzibar International Film Festival
One of Africa's largest film and art festivals. Usually takes
place in June or July. The 13th annual Zanzibar International
Film Festival will take place July 10-18, 2010.
Zanzibar Music Festival
Sauti za Busara - the Zanzibar Music Festival -
features more 400 artists performing on a festival stage
set up inside the historic Old Fort in Stone Town.
The event takes place in February and it is usually kicked
off by a carnival style parade featuring a beni brass band,
drummers, wanandege (umbrella women), dancers, stilt
walkers and acrobats. Performances continue
over several days, ending with a grand finale performance
at midnight on the last day of the festival.
